The best products from the region

The South Tyrolean specialities and all the dishes from our gourmet cuisine are largely made from regional seasonal products. Total freshness and the products’ short travelling distances from harvesting to the table are extremely important to us as you can really taste the difference.

In Val Venosta/Vinschgau there are still numerous small and medium-sized farming businesses that grow a whole variety of organic quality fruit, vegetables and grains. The most famous specialities are the Val Venosta/Vinschgau apricots, apples, strawberries from Val Martello/Martelltal, grapes and asparagus from Castelbello/Kastelbell. We buy regional products from these businesses, which our kitchen team  makes into sophisticated South Tyrolean specialities, fine Mediterranean dishes or even Asian dishes now and again. We also produce tasty products ourselves though: we smoke the bacon ourselves that is served at the Sporthotel.

The great care, with which these fresh, regional and seasonal products are grown, harvested and finally processed in our kitchen, is reflected in the intense flavour of all the dishes, both the South Tyrolean specialities and international dishes.
